Culprit Shock
In a comparative study supported by the European Union, Stiftung IHF is investigating the question which intervention provides more benefit to patients with myocardial infarction (MI) and shock: reopening the MI vessel alone or additionally treating other coronary arteries with relevant narrowings. The study is supposed to enroll a total of 700 patients across Europe. Professor Zeymer (Vice Chairman of Stiftung IHF) is one of the two scientists responsible for this project.
