CPU-II Registry Ready to Launch

The German Cardiac Society is currently issuing revised requirements on equipment and standard of care of so-called Chest Pain Units (CPU). Chest Pain Units are outpatient departments in hospitals specialized in patients with chest pain of unclear origin.

Thanks to approved funding by German Heart Foundation e.V., German Cardiac Society, and Abbott Vascular Deutschland GmbH, Stiftung IHF will be able to launch the CPU-II Registry. Under the scientific chairmanship of Professor Thomas Münzel (University of Mainz) an investigation will be performed into the question to which extent institutions meet or exceed quality requirements regarding indication, diagnostics, recommended therapies and networking.
